We’re Moving!

Dear Students, Alumni and Friends,

I’m excited to share that The School of American Thanatology is making a big move! While we congregate online, and will continue to do so, our physical location is changing.

I’ve decided to relocate operations from Kentucky to California. Specifically, Los Angeles. Kentucky will always be home, and we’ll always have deep roots here. A lot of progressive “death stuff” is happening out on the west coast of the United States, and I want to ensure that the School is positioned to take advantage of being a part of that as much as possible. This will provide greater opportunity to ALL students, not just folks that are located in that physical area. Death happens everywhere of course, and this is not to diminish the important work that needs to happen, and is happening, in each of our communities. For as virtual and online most of the world is these days, physical proximity is also important. As I continually say, community is critical and I’m excited for the School to be physically close to progressive activities in the death space. I’m excited to get to share the additional opportunities that will be available to all of you, all around the world, because of this relocation.

In the coming weeks, I will be sharing more about some of the new opportunities and additions coming to the School. There is….a lot!

A bit of housekeeping, while I make the trek across the country, the Bookstore will be shut down for awhile. It should reopen in April, if not beforehand.

More to come, please stay keyed in to your inboxes!
